Our design and engineering services include conceptual planning, design, material procurement, and archival (as-built) plan drafting. Our expert staff have 75+ years of combined experience designing wayside signaling and grade crossing warning devices for Class I railroads.
Conceptional Plan(s) & Estimating
We create high-level overview plans showing proposed capital and/or state projects along with an estimate of project costs.
Quotation Plans & Material List
At JSI, we develop detailed circuit plans and a detailed list of materials required for the material integrator purposes in quoting and material procurement.
Wiring Plans & Construction Field Prints
We provide complete and detailed plan sets for material integrator wiring and customer/contractor field installation. These plans include detailed layout plans, circuit plans, building/case layout details, and any additional information required to install a project. We are very detailed and ensure our plans include information gathered through our utility coordination and project management services to assist the installation group with all the information required to fully install the project.
Signal Design Consulting
We provide consulting services for wayside and grade crossing signal design(s) including advising and checking of signal designs created by other companies, providing expert information about state and federal signal design requirements, etc.
Final As-Built Plans
After installation has been completed, we utilize the marked-up wiring plans from the supplier and the construction field print mark-ups from the construction crew(s) to create final as-built plans. This includes updating plans for any adjacent location(s) effected by the project.
