Grade Crossing Warning Devices
We have designed as many as 100 crossing projects in a single year. On average, we design between 40-70 crossing projects per year for Class 1 railroads
In the past couple years, we have designed crossing projects in 7 States: Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. We participated in all project phases from the original plan & estimate to preparing final as built plans. We have experience in the following states as well: Alabama, Kansas, and Tennessee.
JaKay Signaling employees are trained and highly knowledgeable of federal and state regulations and guidelines that govern railroad signal equipment. This includes understanding of FRA, USDOT MUTCD, AREMA, and various state’s regulations and guidelines.
We have completed plan & estimates for over 1,500 state/federally funded crossing projects for Class 1 railroads over the past 25 years. The plan & estimates we create for our clients include all estimated costs, including the railroads labor and overhead costs. We have extensive experience and expertise designing Siemens (GCP 3000, GCP 4000) and Alstom (PMD-4 & XP4) crossing equipment. We have also worked with many older vintage types of equipment.
